Submission Fees & Financial Aid
Why is there a submission fee?
The submission fee helps cover: editorial and operational costs, website and publication expenses, free digital copies for contributors, expansion of the journal’s outreach and credibility
How much is the submission fee?
The standard submission fee is $50-70 per piece, depending on the category you are submitting your work to.
Do you offer financial aid?
Yes. We believe that financial constraints should not be a barrier to creativity. Writers who require financial aid can submit an application with supporting documents (e.g., proof of financial hardship). Please reach out to hyeay@hyeay.com if you would like to apply for the submission fee waiver.
How is financial aid awarded?
Our financial aid comes in the form of a submission fee waiver. Applications will be evaluated based on need. We have a limited number of fee waivers per volume.
